Pos Tenau (Perak)

A 2D/1N or 3D/2N trip into a remote Orang-Asli village.

Highlights

Experience a 4WD adventure to reach an Orang-Asli village and stay one day with the Semai people, one of 18 aborigine tribes in Malaysia.

Option 1: 2D/1N

  • Day 1
You will meet a P.E.A guide in Kuala Lumpur town center at 07.00 AM in order to reach the small town of Ulu Slim in time for the morning market. We will have a rest before starting our 4WD adventure, having a quick stop at nearby hot springs. The 40 km trail may be very challenging in rainy weather conditions. Be prepared! We will stop by a river on the way for our picnic lunch. Continuing our route, we will reach the quiet Orang-Asli village. There, we will follow the Orang-Asli into the forest, experience blow pipe or play “sepak takraw” a kind of foot-volley with a rattan ball. Then we will prepare our dinner before the night walk.
  • Day 2
After breakfast, we will leave for a trek in the forest and have our picnic lunch before going back to Kuala Lumpur where we should reach by late afternoon.

Option 2: 3D/2N

  • If you want to stay one more day, you will learn more about the Semai tribe, their routine and way of life, and there will be a cultural night on the 2nd evening. Please contact P.E.A for more information.
