Nature day-trips around KL
Taman Negara is not the only place where can be seen legendary trees, wild flowers and birds, waterfalls, rivers and streams in the wild! All this is affordable at a little distance of KL! PEA has organized short treks which start after only 30 to 80 minutes from KL.
Short Trekking
The packages Sungai Pusu, Lepok Waterfall and Chilling Waterfalls include a 2 to 3h (depending on your physical condition) easy walk in the jungle.
Admiring legendary trees, flora, fauna, fungi and insects.
For all proposed packages. View the pictures in the section “packages”. Regarding animals, hornbills can be often heard, sometimes seen; wild boars very scarcely by front-walker, if the troop is very silent.
Crossing and walking in shallow streams
For Sungai Pusu and Chilling waterfalls packages; here you will feel the sensations of Indiana Jones! Unforgettable!
Challenging Bukit Tabur
Bukit Tabur is this impressive limestone ridge above Taman Melawati, in the northern suburbs of KL. It is the place of special birds –we saw pheasants in several occasions-, and very resistant vegetation because the air is hot and dry. If air is limpid, this place allows the best pictures of KL and its Twin Towers. But reaching the summit needs to do real climbing at 3 short places. PEA guides always bring safety ropes in case guests have a problem. But please don’t join if you suffer vertigo.
