Description
You will meet a P.E.A guide in Kuala Lumpur town center at 07:30 AM. We will take a scenic road, passing along Batu Caves Reservoir, the old town of KKB (Kuala Kubu Bahru), and the new impressive Selangor Reservoir, operational since 2004. We will reach the place around 09:30 AM, and we will start the trek immediately, which is better explained by the pictures below. We will cross a river for the first time after just 400 meters (but don’t worry as shoes dry quickly in Malaysia). Then we enter a territory of ferns, wild orchids and pitcher plants, before reaching the edge of the rainforest. After a one or two kilometers walk, crossing a river 4 more times and a sharp bend, we would be able to hear the sounds of the waterfalls.
Some people stop there. But we don’t, because the best is yet to come. We will go up a very steep trail for 10-15 minutes before we reach the second and third waterfalls. We could continue further for those who are interested. We will take a break at approximately 11:30 AM. The trail back will be similar, but we are sure that we will discover different things.
After a quick wash, we will go to Kuala Kubu Bahru to have our lunch in a restaurant around 01:00 PM. After lunch, we shall take some time to visit KKB, which is a very typical old town with well preserved houses.
We should be back in KL around 04.00 to 05.00 PM
