Tanjung Karang (Selangor)

A day trip to the picturesque paddy fields 80 km north of Kuala Lumpur.

Description

You will meet a P.E.A guide in Kuala Lumpur town center at 08.00 AM and drive to Tanjung Karang through a typical Malay countryside, observing the Malay wooden houses. We will reach the paddy fields and will have our lunch served in a Malay farmer’s house.

We will then visit a fishing village and maybe the fish market depending on the time. Our day trip will end by a walk in Taman Alam, a natural park with a lake hosting many species of birds; local or migratory; and a well preserved mangrove. We will certainly see wild animals such as otters, monitor-lizards, silver leaf monkeys, macaques and others during our walk in the mangroves until the river mouth of the Selangor River. So, don’t forget your binoculars if you have one .We should be back in KL end afternoon.

The Package Includes

  • Transportation from Kuala Lumpur town center.
  • English speaking guide equipped with first aid kit and CB radio. (French guide available on request)
  • Lunch in a malay house.

What You Should Bring

During the walk: a small rucksack, hat, raincoat, walking shoes, insect repellent, sun-block lotion and your personal pharmacy.

Items which will stay in the car: towel, spare T-shirt and short-pant and a pair of sandals.
